Biography
Victoria Tamayo was born and raised in Winter Springs, FL. Victoria discovered her passion for the law and her desire to advocate for others after excelling in a legal studies elective course in high school. After graduation, she pursued her passion by participating in the legal studies program at Florida Gulf Coast University where she graduated cum laude in 2016. Throughout her time at FGCU, she held several leadership roles in her sorority, Kappa Delta, and other various organizations.
While at Stetson University College of Law, Victoria worked as a law clerk for several law firms practicing in diverse areas such as, estate planning, tax, personal injury, and first-party property insurance, all while maintaining high academic credentials. Additionally, she was selected for the Federal Judicial Externship Program where she assisted the Honorable Judge Amanda Sansone at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
In her last year at Stetson, Victoria participated in the Veterans Advocacy Clinic at Stetson where she helped low-income veterans with their VA disability and pension claims. Her time at the Clinic exposed her to the harsh realities veterans are experiencing in order to obtain the benefits they deserve for their service. After completing the Clinic, Victoria graduated from Stetson cum laude and was awarded the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for completing over 120 hours of pro bono work at Gulfcoast Legal Services in Saint Petersburg.
Victoria entered private practice to continue her mission of helping others. Victoria’s extensive experience working with clients from all walks of life and her empathetic nature ensure a personal touch with every case she handles. Clients can expect tremendous dedication and kindness when working with Victoria.
In her free time, Victoria enjoys yoga, reading about history, and traveling. She also loves spending time with her Labrador, Daisy.
